Let high school and college football players carry guns, Rick Perry tells tea party group.

"If a shooter shows up at a football game they could call a time out and shoot the person before resuming play." Perry said. He continued, "Perhaps extra points could be awarded that team. This would give players an incentive to be well trained in use of firearms, while offering better protection for players and spectators from gun violence."

I know Rick Perry's stupid, but can he really be this stupid?

Yeah- guy pulls a gun at a football game, 40 players grab their guns and unload into the stands. No chance of collateral damage there.

On the plus side, it might cut down on cheap shots on the QB...
