Want to go!

Tianmen Cave, known as Heaven’s Gate, is a natural bridge/arch on Tianmen Mountain near Zhangjiajie, in northwestern Hunan Province in China. According to local history it used to be a cave, but in 263 AD the cliff face collapsed, changing the cave into an arch. The arch is 131.5 metres high, 57 metres wide and 60 metres deep, and at an elevation of ca. 1500 metres, it is believed to be the highest natural arch in the world. Trees as old as 2000 years add to the surreal atmosphere of Tianmen Mountain. In September 2011, Wingsuit skydiver Jeb Corliss became the first man to fly through Tianmen Cave.
