I learned quickly to like Peter Davison and he had some great adventures, and I liked going back to Jon Pertwee always running around with the brigadier and fighting the master. I never really got in to Colin Baker or his successors until Eccleston who I really liked. I liked Tennant too, he sort of reminded me of Davison I guess. But Tom Baker is always the Doctor to me.

except for my daughter - she likes the new guys because they were her first - she was too young when the rest of us were watching the old series.

Somewhere around here is the 9-mile long scarf my son had his grandma knit for him so he could have one like Tom Baker. I could probably go out in the shed and find the radio control car-based K-9 he made in Jr High too lol.

I did like Tom Baker and he really grew on me during his long tenure!

Out of the current series, David Tennant is my favorite.

They are both great. Two different doctors, two different actors. Tennant has a slight edge because he was with us longer and I feel I know him better.

Maybe it's mean to say, but Matt Smith looks like Boris Karloff in his Frankenstein monster makeup, and I can't get past that. Between that and the absymal writing and the repulsive Amy Pond . . . I've gotta stop here because I've got nothing nice to say. I'm hoping it gets better.

He may be the best Doctor, period. I know that's a bit of heresy to some, and I'd have sworn myself that the best was Tom Baker, but Tennant brought me around during his second season. The guy had a range that I've never seen in any other Doctors. It was the perfect role for him.

I still love Tom Baker though. He took my Doctor Who virginity.

I honestly forget that David Tennant is an actor, not a Time Lord. When I've seen him on The Graham Norton Show it's like the Doctor is pretending to be from Scotland.

Silly, I know.

Tennant (#10), though Smith (#11) is pretty good. My favorite overall is still my first, Tom Baker (#4).
