I was without internet for about the past 21 hours.

It was grueling not being able to check things out or post comments about events during those hours.

I am pretty sure it was because of the high winds, rain and cold we had messing with the internet cable connections outside. I didn't see a problem with the connection on the outside of the house. Likely to be at the pole or maybe somewhere else up the line.

An interesting sighting this afternoon. A squirrel went up the wire fence of the neighbor and then up the pole where my cable runs to. It proceeded to walk the cable from that pole to the next pole. In the process it started walking on one cable and then changed to the other cable. A couple of times it used both cables to walk even though one was higher than the other. Weird!

1. Squirrels have been a real problem with my Internet connection.

Several times they have chewed cable connections for my Internet, phone and cable TV. I love the little critters, but in times like those I was tempted to shoot them if I had a gun.
