Content.

The house has been scrubbed clean, the lights are up, the decorations are in place and now all we have to do is wait for the kids to come home safely. And when they arrive, I will hold them tight enough to embarrass them. They will not know why.

what's important and learn to reject everything that isn't? Only makes me resent more the things that got in the way.

We are too soon old, and too late smart.

The truly important thing is that we do learn what's important. When we do it is less important, IMHO.

The things that got in the way help you become who you are...

We wish the people around us were more like what we want them to be rather than what they actually are. Letting all that go is truly enlightening.
