on the menu - from the farmer's market today - local goat cheese, french bread, cranberry winter salsa
from Costco - brown rice crackers, ancient grains crackers
from Trader Joe - Dubliner and Wisconsin cheddars

from my oven (meaning me!) - sharp cheddar cheese straws, ginger almond biscotti, pecan squares, lace cookies

When we have our Thanksgiving dinners here in Germany, the only parties represented are the SPD and the Grünen (as an American, I'm there to carve the turkey). They all pretty much agree about everything, and STILL argue like crazy.

For them, pick up some watery 'Lite' kind of beer, well-done meat and potatoes, salty snack/junk food, and play top-40 scholck from some "classic rock" station. Maybe rent some new-release "action & adventure" movie from redbox. If I did that for my right-wing friends, philistines all, they'd be happier than a pig in shit.
