Earlier today I had a nice set of glasses:

One five oz glass of the 2011 Deschute's brewery's ABYSS porter, joined by the 2012 version of the same in a package deal at the local pub.

Heaven.

The most complex beers I have ever tasted.

At 11.1% alcohol.

The 2011 version of the Abyss is as thick and sweet as chocolate milk, the 2012 a little more brash....Amazing what a difference a year can make.

The 2013 is coming real soon.

If you get the chance to buy this beer, get some.
