(66,369 posts)I tend to describe myself in 'West Wing' terms.
Looks: I'm Toby.
Personality: I'm Josh.
Wardrobe: I'm Leo.
Stuff like that...

(130,908 posts)HAHA, not really, but just watching her right now, learning daughter is pregnant, as they announce engagement and start thinking about wedding plans!

(66,369 posts)I hated her character in 'Grease', and so never cared much for the actress. But TWW made me an admirer. She could really hold her own with Martin Sheen.

Written by Lawrence O'Donnell!!!

(14,061 posts)"Two Cathedrals," episode 22, season 2.
He is Jed's dad, the headmaster of the prep school Jed attended. Martin Sheen's performance is also brilliant.

(130,908 posts)Lawrence has said he was 'terrified' of having to act in that role!
AngryOldDem
(14,061 posts)That **is** a sad episode. I forget where I heard it -- maybe it was in a commentary on the DVD by Sheen -- that Jed's Latin rant in the church after Mrs. Landingham's funeral was a profane callout of God.
EDIT: Got Mrs. L's name wrong!
elleng
(130,908 posts)and that Sheen had some problem with it, but did it masterfully.
Those commentaries are interesting, eh?

(14,061 posts)I've got the entire series on DVD, and whenever I pull them out to watch, it never fails to amaze how many real-life parallels I see.
Season 7 (some soap-opera elements nothwithstanding) is especially compelling.
