It hit 5 minutes before P.E. class the next day. I spent the entire time in the locker room bathroom. My classmates couldn't stay far enough away from the area.

Brings back a painful memory.

Having a diabetic daughter, I'm always on the lookout for good sugar free or low sugar snacks. One day years ago, while out shopping, I spied a bag of sugar free gummy bears. I bought them for me, as I love gummy bears, and figured it wouldn't hurt me to eat some sugar free ones.

A couple hours after eating some, I got terrible stomach and lower abdominal pain. It got worse as the evening wore on, and there was no relief. I felt like I was completely obstructed somehow, with no way to make the pain go away.

It took a good 24 hours before I felt normal.

The next day, as I ruefully looked over the bag, I noticed the fine print: "May cause gastrointestinal distress."

No $#!t. Come to think of it, that was a big part of the problem.

in the shell

somehow i developed a taste for peanuts in the shell and i eat them shell and all

the peanut shell has to be pure fiber
lord knows there is no nutritional value....

so you are at a ball game and say you eat half a bag with a beer or two.....

and then the cramps start......
and you are like
what is going on
and you get a bit worried becasuse it can be painful
and then you remember...........

they could cause intestinal blockage. I knew a guy who had to have surgery to remove a ball of sunflower shells from his intestine.
After reading this perhaps you'd like to reconsider the way you eat peanuts-

My mom made some stuffed prunes for a party one time many years ago. (She had made a platter of food to nibble on and the prunes were stuffed with cream cheese. They actually tasted pretty good.) Anyhow, I absentmindedly stood their eating them and talking to friends when all of a sudden I realized what I was eating. It took a while but, yes, they did the job and worked their way through the system. I still laugh at myself for just standing there eating them and commenting on how tasty they were until I came to my senses and realized what I was eating. I presume you've heard the old saying about prunes: Is one enough? Are three too many ????
