I finally get James Dean....

I always thought he was over rated because all I saw was Rebel and the little bit he was in Giant.

But I taped East of Eden and watched it today and I can see why he was touted as the next best actor.

The kid was a great actor, able to make his part jump out of the screen not for what he was doing but because he made that boy real. Just like Brando could or all those New York actors that made the 50's cinema jump out with great performances.

Maybe when I'm recuperating and unable to type (Ha!) I'll watch them.

I've always heard he was phenomenal.
