I used to be able to sing like Pat--hell, I wanted to BE Pat. Unfortunately those days are long over, but she's still as incredible as ever. Here's hoping for many, many more years!!!

Originally written and performed by The Young Rascals in 1966. It's a kiss-off song to a girl that did him wrong, and Benatar reversed the genders.

She was born in Brooklyn and attended Juilliard for a while, but moved to Columbia SC to marry a guy who was stationed here at Fort Jackson. She worked in a bank with my friend and sang with the local opera company. He said she was very attractive, and very noticably not from the Deep South. I don't think she was here long, that was about 1972.
