I remember when you went out searching for a beer you liked, not really being much of a beer drinker. I don't if you tried this stuff or not, but to my taste buds it's a lot better than Budweiser. It's rich tasting with a hint of sweetness.

Only by breaking traditions can we understand the value of them.

I understand it on good authority the same principle applies to brassiere underwires.

I can only do it on the weekends, though. My boss wouldn't take kindly to me showing up with beer on my breath to drive his semi. I don't know what the problem is, but apparently the D.O.T. doesn't like it either. Maybe they've never tried a beer for breakfast.

Budweiser's Blocked Corona Deal Is Partly About Craft Brews, Internal Documents Reveal

The craft beer industry only accounts for about 5 percent of the $80 billion U.S. beer market -- peanuts compared to AB InBev, the maker of Budweiser and other beers, which commands a 39 percent share of that market.

But Goliath is very, very scared of David. The number of U.S. craft brewers jumped from 537 in 1994 to more than 2,000 as of July 2012, according to The Brewers Association, a national trade group. Meanwhile, Budweiser shipments in the U.S. declined 13 percent from 2009 to 2011, according to Beer Marketer’s Insights, a trade publication, and sales of Budweiser to U.S. retailers in the first nine months of 2012 fell by 6 percent in volume, Bloomberg reported.

The increasing popularity of craft beer was a major factor in AB InBev's decision to buy rival Grupo Modelo, Corona's parent company, according to internal documents from AB InBev released Thursday by the Justice Department, which sued to block the $21 billion purchase.

“We must slow the volume trend of High End Segment and cannot let the industry transform,” AB InBev said in internal strategy documents obtained by the Justice Department, referring to the threat posed by imports and craft beers.

Our coffee stout is a dark brew that combines roasted coffee with a rich, full-bodied stout. For the authentic coffee flavor, we use 1.5 pounds of Sumatran coffee beans per barrel, added late in the brewing process to provide the most flavor possible. This brew finishes with underlying roasty notes of chocolate, caramel, and dark fruit from our select blend of malts.

Great way to get your morning cold cereal/grains/porridge, but after starting every weekend morning with brews for over a decade, Mrs. TITAN does not approve.

Was it Cheryl Crow who sang about liking a 'beer buzz in the morning'?

Speaking as a lifelong alky, beer in the morning is another advance in a wrong direction. But I can't judge, I'm working on a lime gin.

I've never been able to do the hair of the dog thing after tying one on the night before. When I've woken up with a hangover, alcohol is the last thing I want.

But I usually don't drink enough to get hangovers now days. I might have a beer or two a few nights through the work week and then drink 7 or 8 on a Friday or Saturday night. I'll wake up feeling a little sluggish after that, but that's easily cured with a hot shower and a cup of coffee.

Half and half cold beer and V8, tomato juice, or (better yet) Bloody Mary mix.

I rarely drink enough to have a hangover any more, but this is my go-to 'cure'.
It was given to me by an old and experienced barkeep in London pub decades ago.
He called it a 'path smoother'.

are a great excuse to have a beer in the morning as in the States (EST) most games start around 8am and the pubs showing the games are packed wall to wall with people drinking and chatting about all things Rugby very early in the morning. It makes for an awesome afternoon nap!
