Heard it's a great cut, but never cooked one before. Should I marinate, rub, oven roast, or skillet? Grilling not an option.
Thoughts from the smartest peeps I know? I'm good with preparing the crab legs.

(12,132 posts)grill was my first choice (lol duh) but since you can't, pan seared in a cast iron skillet will still be pretty great. I've only had a flat iron steak once but it was a terrific steak. Tender and flavorful at the place I had it.
In fact, I know I'm gonna be grilling at my grandpa's soon - Thanks for reminding me to look for some flat irons!

(29,098 posts)Very moist and tender. I usually just broil mine keeping it rare. It's also great on top of stove in a cast iron skillet.
We aren't fans of spices on steak so we tend to go the pure route with just salt and pepper with a side of fried onions with a whisp of balsamic vinegar.
