My laptop powercord is going through the change.

If I even fidget a little the laptop loses electrical connection and runs on battery. Now, it's not that the cord is falling out of the laptop. For some reason, something inside the laptop is just losing its zing. It gets so bad that I have to wrap the cord like a pretzel and tape it to the laptop in order to keep a connection.

Is it just time for a new powercord? Or could it possibly be the battery going bad? The laptop is only a year old.

... or between the power receptacle and the laptop case. A tiny screwdriver (and a cup to save all the screws in) might be all you need to fix it.

UNPLUG IT FIRST!!!

Or, you may need a new power unit.

And that is not an easy fix. It may require major disassembly and a soldering iron.

my fault really cause I had it plugged in high on the wall and the weight over a year mangled the connection at the plug.
I can get a new one on amazon for $10, I've been putting it off...
