Flower Duet from the opera Lakmé by Leo Delibes

The Russian Anna Netrebko (the brunette nicknamed "la bellissima" or the "beautiful one&quot and the Latvian Elina Garanca. Occasionally experiencing such beauty both in the composition and the performance helps restore my faith in humanity.

done to perfection. Nice. Thank you. I needed that, it hit the spot.

In a few hours I am off to go do a clinic with some high school orchestral clarinets. I will remember that this beauty only comes from where I am going and where I have been. Sometimes it is difficult, ya know?

Wow. Thanks.

and have been asked to work with these kids, most who apparently do not have private lessons. They are members of our Youth Symphony. I was astonished to hear that they did not take private lessons and have been warned what I am about to hear. We all used to have private lessons but that was 30 years ago. But, I can help them so I will. I get paid better to do this than I do to play! I find that odd somehow but......

I really used to teach mostly piano but clarinet has always been my major instrument.
