Special thanks from the Midwest to all those clearing roads and driveways

It snowed almost 10 inches here today, this on top of the 10 inches that we got on Thursday. On Saturday, we got our driveway scraped and got outside. The roads were nice and clear and we were able to stave off cabin fever. After the snow began falling, we called the contractor again, once again hiring his services for whenever he could make it out here.

An hour and a half ago, my grandma woke up because she heard a noise in the driveway. At 8:00 at night, there he was, cleaning my family's driveway. His partner mentioned that there were 8 more houses to go, and some of them were large parking lots. They had been working mostly non-stop for 48 hours. I know I can't do that, but I'm sure as hell glad that they could. So, here's a special thanks to all the road workers out there tonight, the public works companies and the small contractors. You've certainly earned it this week.

I'm in NY and we're getting the snow now...

A huge thanks to those clearing our streets who are out on the roads tonight!

Going from two feet of snow on the road and driveway and paths to seeing the ground.

to see the concrete again. It promptly got covered by extra inch... But that's nothing to car tires! I do hope that they managed to get some sleep last night...
