(4,833 posts)I think this is funny as hell. Of course, I am a self-admitted carnivorous jerkwad. And one that is well into his second hour of happy hour (the sun goes over the yardarm early in these parts). But still. This is funny. And many a truth is said in jest.

It is that time of year.

Beltane is a long way off!
One unsuspecting DUer got my (shall we say) sap moving very nicely in late January.

(4,833 posts)As you say, Beltane is a long way off.
And we all deserve to have some distractions before then.
You got your sap moved in January? Impressive. He / she must be a remarkable individual.

On a good night:
I fall asleep enjoying the thought of having his body laying next to mine.
About his warm breath on my neck as we spoon. About morning. What lies ahead.

... like fried mushrooms and fried zucchini and fried cauliflower. I don't REMEMBER
seeing fried broccoli, but I bet it's out there and it's probably as tasty as the others
(OK, except for the zucchini... I'm not a big fan of zucchini in any form (except bread).

Now that I think of it, I think breaded broccoli florets were one of the veggies in the
hot-oil-based fondues so popular in the late 60's- early 70's (that were so fun at our
family dinner table).

... they were a MAJOR investment in time and effort to prep them for cooking. My friends, when
inviting me to a party, often specifically requested that I bring it along (many of our all-night
debaucheries started off innocently enough with a fairly civilized dinner party).
