Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsShit. I have to change a tire.
I looked out the window and the front right tire is as flat as a brick.
And it's cold as hell out there.
And it's a holiday. I don't even have to go anywhere.
Shit. I hate having to change a tire.
It's time my sons learned to change a tire.
They can go out there with a cell phone.
I can stand at the window and point while I tell them what to do.
Life is good.

"How many idiots does it take to change a tire?

(29,414 posts)I would suspect the lug nuts are frozen
If you have a pipe to slip over the lug-wrench, use that for additional leverage. That often helps break the "freeze" on them
My son stood on the jack handle and the nut didn't even budge. I could swear all five of them were laughing at us.

(82,333 posts)Thank God for friends who know what the hell they're doing.
While I was at the store getting WD-40 my wife just called a friend who had a power nut turner thing. Took him 5 minures.
I must have been in the coffee shop staring at the can of WD-40 over a double latte when he finished.
C'est la vie.

of course changing a tire is practically a "getting dressed to go to work" chore around here (read that as routine)
although making squids do things like that is partly what makes having them around worth it

some days you are thankful it was only one that DAY
(and now I better shut up as there hasn't actually been one in a couple of months and I am pushing the tolerance of the universe by joking around - it does help if you don't go anywhere)
