Vibes to my dad who had a fall today. He's okay but I hope it doesn't mean his

mobility is getting worse. He weighs 280 pounds. If he can't work under his own steam nobody will be able to do that for him. Vibes for his mobility today. It's all about quality of life at this point.

No one else has asked for them.

Does your dad have other family/friends near by or are you the only viable caretaker?

There are a million questions I could ask, but the most important one is, how are you? I know what it's like. I know you can forget to take care of yourself. I know you can get angry and fed up. I know you can feel guilty. All of it is normal. If there is no one else to help out, get help. You won't be any help to him with a strained back.

2. Oh you are so sweet. I have around the clock caregivers for my mom and they look after dad too.

I'm on my day off but got a call from the caregivers. I have lots of great help. I live for the day and that makes it easier. Thanks for asking though.

But that doesn't mean his descent has started. However; can you get him to try to lose weight? You are so correct that it will make a difference and he will feel better in general.

You can have all my vibes too.

strawberries without cream. I'm trying to do more stir fries. Problem is they have a great friend who keeps bringing over custard and lemon soufflé. But yeah. I'm trying to push salad rather that something sweet like peas. A small slice of bread rather than tons of mashed potatoes.

who I hope will be ok and might think about his weight after this scare. Also sending vibes to you, because I know how much this type of situation can take a toll.

Take care of yourself, applegrove.

Have you fallen in the last three months?

simply missed the chair. I'm sure they ask about mobility when you are older and go to the hospital. Falls break hips and that kills and third of the elderly who break their hips. That is likely one reason why they ask. Better to migrate to a wheelchair than to risk breaking a hip. Thankfully he does have physiotherapy 5 days a week right now. She takes him up and down the hall on his walker. Thanks for asking though.
