Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsSo I participated in a local "clean up" to pick up trash in a wooded area downtown
It was a nice experience, and honestly it was a bit surprising to see how much can be accomplished in a very short time.
The clean up was organized by a local group, and there will most likely be others in the future.
It was all going very well until someone leaned out of his car window as he drove past and yelled "Make the n*****s do it!"
Stay classy, citizens!

(63,219 posts)There's a knucklehead on 65 in New Castle who recently replaced his McCain/Palin yardsign with a Romney sign.
My enlightened county once again went Red this past election, alas.

for 5 years now.
It amazes me how many homeowners allow the trash to lay in front of their property for years, much of it garbage that animals got into.
The most common trash thrown from vehicles is bottled water containers and paper coffee cups.
In 4 hours of clean-up I usually managed to find $4 worth of beer bottles/cans.
But is IS nice to walk/bike/drive down these roads afterwards an just see momma nature's stuff . . .
