(20,776 posts)One of our feature in our chat rooms are music balls. You can sit on them and they activate sharing music with those who have sat on them. These come in handy when there is no one in the room actually playing their own sets of music.
So that way, everyone can come in and enjoy some music while visiting. Number of songs my vary but its our way of sharing some great sounds with everyone!

(20,776 posts)where you create your own avatars to represent you. I have a chat room, themed on Asian music. Atsushi Sakurai of the Japanese rock group Buck Tick is often a visitor now to my room. (He logs on to imvu, and comes to our chat room.) When he is not in studio writing and singing music, he likes to kick back and come play on IMVU and chat with his friends who also log on to the website.
I met him a few weeks ago, and introduced him to our room, which as you can see, has lots of posters on the wall of many Japanese bands as well as Korean, Chinese singers and groups. Our room is very popular for Asian music.. and we often play music there. There are dance spots for people to jump on to.

(4,299 posts)I appreciate the explanation and the music. With four grandkids, I really need to get more current. Three of them are half Japanese and Asian pop is, well popular. Now that I know about 3D chat, Buck Tick and Atsushi Sakurai, I can't wait to impress the kids.

(20,776 posts)I am betting they are more into Kpop, Korean Pop.. but they might be impressed by a Rock star of Sakurai san's calibur. Buck Tick was many times a back up band for X-Japan so they have been around for a few years. X-Japan is considered one of the top Bands in Japan.
Huge, Huge fan base.. Here is another song by Buck Tick, Live..

(4,299 posts)You are right about Kpop. Thanksgiving the seven- and eight- year-old girls performed gangnam style for us -- too cute.
Your room is impressive, glad you shared.

(20,776 posts)IMVU has some very impressive rooms, including my friend's shinto shrine which I helped her construct, after the Japan Earth Quake and Tsunami. Its called the Touhoku Kantou Jinnja shrine. Its very lovely and took us three weeks to create. We tried to make it as authentic as possible, by looking at images of other shrines.
