The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support Forumswhat is your daily average posting for the past 90 days?
with this post, mine will be a hair over 10/day
but I was gone for a couple weeks in that time.
A ton more when I was on MIRt.
are you going to re-up? I am thinking about it, kind of miss the teamwork. Not many alerts in the AZ group (or the Lounge)

(8,462 posts)The auto remove feature though is really awesome and makes things a whole lot easier. Poor LG and DTG just get disappeared!

(55,019 posts)I've been sacrificing quality for quantity lately.

(55,019 posts)but I was kind of surprised it was that many. Doesn't seem like I post ten replies a day, and I sure don't do many OPs.

(149,699 posts)I had no idea.
Some days it's a lot less, though. Sometimes all I feel like doing is lurking...
Kali!
Kali
(55,019 posts)wow, yeah it seems like you haven't been around that much lately. I know you enjoy facebook and I peek in there from time to time but I just can't get into it (I finally saw that you had replied to that image I posted, of course I hadn't looked back since that day )

(149,699 posts)I've got a lot going on offline...my PT for my shoulder, the skin cancer removal, another lesion on a salivary gland to worry about, and so on.
Facebook seems friendlier sometimes.
But you need to know that DU will always be my original and treasured online home. As long as I can type, I will be here...
Kali
(55,019 posts)yikes maybe I better go over there - I knew about your shoulder, what is this other stuff? PM if you want, or did you do a post about this I missed?
CaliforniaPeggy
(149,699 posts)Haven't talked about the other stuff...
I'll have a biopsy soon for the salivary gland tumor. 20% chance of malignancy. My ENT doc thinks I've had it a long time...we discovered it when I had a cat scan after my tumble just before my shoulder surgery.
Never a dull moment!
Kali
(55,019 posts)Good luck with all of it and I am sorry I missed it. I suspect almost everybody in the western part of the country will eventually have at least one skin cancer form, they seem to be very common - glad they got it.
CaliforniaPeggy
(149,699 posts)But I've been so distracted what with all the surgeries and what not that I kind of forgot it.
I've had them before...
No worries about not seeing my post over there...we all have things going on, ya know!

(55,019 posts)reminds me of a boring story. the ranch has participated with the Natural Resource Conservation Service (formerly the Soil Conservation Service) on some projects in the past, They help farmers and ranchers design, implement, and finance projects that help with land/resource management.
The guy that used to work with us had a good engineering background/education. You could tell because he would write up speck to several decimal points and have lots of instructions about materials and how to properly dig a post hole, that sort of thing. The problem was he was doing this for people that were used to doing everything by the seat of their pants and with a total lack of the kind of education that informs one that "you can't do that like that" - you know, like getting rid of tree stumps with old dynamite, or pulling up a windmill tower with a pick-up and baling wire. Poor Don, we never followed his suggestions.

(55,019 posts)I bet mine goes up now that the weather is warming up and I especially when I am without a vehicle. I tend to sit in the house from around 10 to 3 or 4 when it gets hot.

(56,912 posts)I imagine it will go back down as spring and summer roll around.
But I'm only posting that much because I can't bring myself to finish my tax return. I'm like that. Never did have the discipline to do things I don't want to do. Good thing I enjoyed my job when I was working.

Moondog
(4,833 posts)if you say so. Painting, well, it depends on whether you want to go all Jackson Pollock, or not. Takes some space to do that right . . . .
