In my region. There's a Pizza store that has one of the best Pizza.
One pizza they make is called the Poorman's Pizza. Instead of Pizza Sauce It is a layer of herbs and oil with cheese on top.
Love the pizza.
They also make one called Homestyle. And that contains Pizza Sauce Herbs and a think sprinkling of Parmesan cheese.
what about your region?

(9,995 posts)There's a pizza shop in Utica, NY, Pasquale's on Varick near the brewery, that puts the sauce on top of the cheese. It's actually really good. I haven't seen anyone do this outside of Utica.

(28,394 posts)It's really good. They put mashed potatoes, shredded cheddar and diced onions on it. I have only seen it in a local grocery store.

(5,128 posts)But the best pizza in the Metroplex is in Richardson. PIZZA VILLA.
No credit cards, no delivery, no coupons, no Coke or Pepsi.
Get the Special (with everything). Pick it up your damn self. Or dine in. Or fuck off. They don't need you.
Get RC Cola. Forget the rest of the menu.
I'll put it up against any NY pizza.

(15 posts)it had clams, bacon, scalloped potatoes, and herbs and spices with white sauce and cheese. That particular joint called it a "New York" Pizza, but I still have no idea what it had to do with New York. It's more like a New England pizza if you ask me.

(9,740 posts)While they have chain locations you really need to go to the one in North Minneapolis off Broadway Ave N just east of I-94.

(224 posts)Of course, all pizza here is fairly disappointing. Green chile is just the only thing I can think of that you don't see in other places.

(854 posts)This kind of goes along with my last post in DU Lounge,,,,, It's not that funny. But the music is on, and it's getting late. I couldn't fix my furnace tonight, so I guess I play here to stay warm tonight. It's all most 0 degrees outside, and getting colder in here as I write.

There were times when I came back to the region when I went for the pizza before seeing the face of my now departed mother.
