happy birthday to Wolfman Jack: a true American patriot

Was from the lounge, but on second thought.... tossed, thrown out to GD.

From a Fan, and (yes a Canadian fan too)

The Wolfman is gone, but his legacy is still alive in Democrats. Honestly.... could Republican's ever have invented Rock 'n' roll? I understand that Wolfman Jack didn't invent rock n' roll, but his pioneering spirit in broadcasting is something that is inherent to our love of open roads, un-dieing teenage spirit, and 'sticking it to the man'. Broadcasting at 50,000 watts of border blasting Boss Soul Power from XERB, the Wolfman helped originate, later on, what many of us came to know as late night radio; to get us through the night. Personally, for every Kowalski out there, (Vanishing Point), there is someone calling the tune, and he's on your side.

ok, from a Canadian point of view, 'cause back in the golden age of NON-programmed music.... he was a shinning star for radio that fought the corporate, and re-looped line, a champion for for living, breathing, live jockeys with soul. And Yes we have many miles of open road and long nights, begging for music too!

I had to google your username because I knew it from somewhere. Charlie Brown's favorite baseball player, center fielder for the Topeka Tornadoes (no, I just made that up, I am not sure who he was said to play for). Funny.
