I know this sounds cliche, maudlin, easy, saccharine and disingenuine...

But dogs, cats and humans are products of co-evolution

I've had dogs. I've had cats.

I love both, depending on the animal.

I had a cat, Sophie, Maine Coon Cat, who was the most cuddly, affectionate cat you could ever meet.

She had this weird habit of meowing a trill "mew!" and then falling to the right or left, letting gravity take its course.

It was funny, and I think Sophie knew we enjoyed this - so when she did it she would always give the same meow sound, seconds before she did it.

We had two Samoyeds, one who was a sadistic bitch of an Alpha Female, and another who was the sweetest Omega Male you ever met.

Sitka, the female, was so cruel we had to separate the two.

Tigger, the male, was so sweet he thought he was a lapdog at 100+lbs

Either way, all those animals knew us like we know each other

Thank DOG (and CAT) for co-evolution!
