He's from a rescue and he's 9 weeks old now.
He gets along well with Kane our 3 year old Norwegian Elkhound Chow X

(17,252 posts)When I fed him (just weeks old) I would put my hand in his dish, when I gave him a bone I'd take it from him praising him for not growling or nipping.
That work has paid off in spades LOL , Kane doesn't growl or nip when Ragnar helps himself to Kane's chews or toys. We're careful to not leave them unsupervised though and not be lulled into a false sense of security. Accidents can and do happen.

(205,405 posts)When I brought my pup home, the older (and much larger) dog totally bonded with him. I realized he must have been lonely. Here's hoping that your two have the same kind of relationship. And thank you for adopting. My dog's from rescue, too...
