Lottery numbers are drawn at random, not in sequence. This person's fate, if one actually believes in the concept, is rock steady. But it is a funny coincidence.

The chances of winning the jackpot was one in millions, the change of being one off is one in millions. But then the change that you got WHATEVER exact set of random numbers you got was one in millions too.

Is actually the same as any other set of numbers and the same as winning the jackpot. Just think of it this way, there is only one unique set of numbers chosen as the jackpot numbers and so therefore there is also only one set of unique numbers that is one less than those numbers, so the chances of this are the same as winning the jackpot. But so are the chances of getting ANY set of numbers. We just give these emotional significance so it seems like a coincidence. :p

Would not even want to try to figure those odds.
Saw a lottery ticket in Wa. state years ago, had two picks on one ticket; top four numbers on one line the fifth on the next line in the correct order.
Of course they won something YOU JUST GOT FUCKED!!!!
