The realtor thread made me think of this plus there was another call just last night.
Months ago, I was looking into refinancing our mortgage because we were sold to a company that does not service loans any more and the rates have dropped significantly.
I contacted several companies for information and even gave out some preliminary information so that I could get some idea of the rates and fees involved.
Things went south with one company because when they called back, they asked for my husband and not me. I thought it was just an oversight at first. But then I got information in the mail addressed only to him. My husband and I are both on the mortgage but I handle the finances. *I* was the one who called THEM. Could they not get that right?
Every once in a while we'll get a call from this company asking for my husband. Should I call them back and tell them he is never going to call them back because he never spoke with them to begin with? Should I tell them I was put off by this or is this just so insignificant I should delete the messages and move on?
I am not outraged. I just get bugged when I hear another message from them.

(14,400 posts)to each company we've had mortgages with in order to get them to talk to my wife. Like you she handles all the finances and was kind of pissed.
Your husband is likely listed as the original mortgage holder with your name on the mortgage. I've never been able to figure out why it's like this to any degree of satisfaction but it's happened every damned time.
They'd call to speak to me about a refi offer or insurance company questions and honestly I haven't got a clue what they're asking for.
Once I had the fax sent there was no problem.

(16,334 posts)in this case it was just like they forgot I was the one they spoke with originally. It's not the same people who call so I am guessing they didn't write this down before the passed to file on to someone else.

"he passed on to his Maker last month".
That will stop the calls.
I have killed off Mr. dixie many times, with great effect.
It seems like we are never home when they call! Otherwise, I'd pick up. That's why I am wondering if I should call back and kill him off...
