a sautéd mixture of asparagus, cherry tomatoes, red onions with parmesan cheese. Yummy.

(102,342 posts)Me, I'm still waiting... crock pot of ham and pinto beans, onions, garlic, celery to serve over brown long grain rice. From the smells increasing all day, I'm guessing another hour.
The dog is down there near the kitchen standing guard. LOL

We're having Alaskan salmon (caught by a friend), brown rice, brussel sprouts and carrots, and a lettuce-fennel-red onion-orange-pear-apple w/ vinaigrette salad. And sauvignon blanc.

(3,702 posts)its one of my husband's favorite comfort foods. After picking the carcass clean - super clean, the less yummy but still edible bits went into a bowl for the pets - they will have that mixed in with dinner tomorrow - the cat and the dogs came to make sure I didn't drop any pieces.
I really should have made chicken stock from the bones, but I need a good stock pot. Still, I am impressed by how far the 5 of us (2 adults, 3 pets) can stretch out that store bought chicken.
