Is it wrong of me to wish the pitbull would have fought back?

Note to Ptah, I had posted the first one in the Lounge.

Man charged with having sex with pit bull at city pound

A 50-year-old man who had been on a tour at the city pound was charged with having sex with a pit bull, prosecutors said in court today.

Gerardo Perez, of the 2500 block of West 38th Street, was charged with having sexual conduct with an animal, a felony, and burglary, according to police.

Perez was arrested after he and a group took a tour of the Chicago Animal Care and Control Facility at 2741 S. Western Ave. on May 29, prosecutors said.

After the man broke off from the tour group, an employee of the facility spotted him going into a restricted area, prosecutors said. After the employee told the man to leave the restricted area, the man left but returned a short time later.

placed your post. It's not that hard to do, many have done it.

As to EVERY pitbull post being political, I agree with you. Reading the GD SOP, ". . .politics, issues, and current events. . .", and knowing there are forums for pets as well as the lounge, one wonders why so many threads exist in GD that are about movies (there is an entertainment section in DU), kittens (pets), people dying (lounge), new babies (lounge) and so on.

I agree with you. Many/most pitbull articles, and many of the type listed above, are wrongly allowed to remain in GD.

There was absolutely no offense intended. My apologies if the post came out wrong.

If you ever get a chance, become a host and you might understand the swings that are occurring in GD. Right now hosts are struggling between defending the SoP strictly, and following Skinner's guidelines to give posters the benefit of every doubt. If you read the GD SoP, there is wiggle room for subjects like religion IF it involves big news. Skinner also recommended allowing posts to stand if they do no harm. I think the hosts are doing their best to interpret those guidelines to the best of their abilities.

Was he on drugs?
Is he mentally ill?

You're right... It's sad that so many people are so sick and many more so blind when it comes to certain breeds of dogs.

I've known several really great Pits, male and female. And one that was a handful because he hadn't been neutered, but his owner was very, very responsible and he is, overall, a very good dog. He was left 'intact' for breeding purposes.

Poor pup was best off being submissive and waiting for some humans to come to the rescue. Now there is evidence of 'special' abuse aimed at pit bulls.

But, yeah, wish the pup could have fought back.
