The DU Lounge

yeah, it's the middle of the night for just about everyone, but i haven't even been home a half hour and i'm just getting settled into my wind down routine. smoking on the porch, fussing around the internet, listening to a cure concert i hadn't heard before on youtube.
it's a beautiful night, i don't have to go back to work until tuesday, one of my besties is staying with us this weekend and t minus 17 days until my bestie of besties is in from germany. the only thing i'm missing is a cold beer, but damn, life is good.

(8,462 posts)I have to be up in 4 and a half hours. Studying for a certification exam after the family goes to sleep, means little sleep.
Peace!
and good luck on the exam

(17,865 posts)I'm often a night owl. If I'm still up at 5:00 a.m. I go to the gym and do my workout routine.

(332 posts)We are a unique bunch.......my normal bedtime is about 4am or later.
I hate that others think I have some kind of disease or something. I never understood why there is a set mentality that everyone should be in bed by a certain time and those that aren't and especially those that sleep late are freaks.

(10,418 posts)Up at 4:45 and I'll be out the door at 5:35 and at work by 6.
I feel better when I work second shift hours. It seems like that's the only schedule where I get enough sleep. But I doubt I'll ever be on that schedule again.
