First time I ever heard it was during the opening and closing credits to "Ordinary People." I went nuts for it.
The first time I heard a live orchestral rendition, I was entranced.
The piece has taken some hits from critics who call it boring, or conventional, or something not good. I don't listen to them.
It's breathtakingly beautiful...
