I got about a gallon and a half of apricots off my tree this year. not enough , but more than I expected after the wind and late freeze/snow this spring. Got two pies and three tarts, plus a couple good handfuls we ate right off the tree. the tarts went to my father for father's day, one pie to the husband for same and I am hording the other in the freezer. such intense apricot flavor!

(28,394 posts)We have a local chain of restaurants here that used to make a "harvest" pie with apricots and other fruits. It was soooooo good, but they don't make it anymore.

(55,019 posts)frozen pie got decent a few years ago - at least the crust, they still don't really have enough fruit, but
none of the "fresh" pies Safeway or other local stores carry are much good.
