(1,437 posts)we found him outside trying to get in, since it was winter he would have probably died. He didn't like the dog and ran downstairs so I snapped this pic while he sat atop my amp with the dog just waiting for him to come play..

(26,117 posts)What are their names?
EvilAL
(1,437 posts)but he responds to 'kitty', the previous owners must have called him that all the time and the dog is Molly, who we didn't name, we got her as a pup from a friend that bought her and found out she was allergic to her. I don't like giving animals human names, but what can ya do..
cyberswede
(26,117 posts)Molly's a cute name - I bet it fits her.
My oldest brother had a golden named Angel - and then my other brother's wife named their daughter Angel, so I get what you mean about human names for pets. LOL
EvilAL
(1,437 posts)but she knew we didn't name her, just weird when she was around..
EvilAL
(1,437 posts)with seasoning you add are called Mr. Noodles, so I told my GF and kids that in all my life, through all the pets I've had, I've never named one, it was always my older sister or nephew or parents or my kids... I said this cat is called Mr. Noodles. My first name was gonna be Reject, because it seemed like someone abandoned him, but they didn't want that.. So Mr. Noodles he was.

(2,817 posts)These are our Adults, called that because they are our 4 original cats. All of our other 9 cats are adults as well.
Starting at top left is Pie, then Patches, Cinn and Kerry. Not a great picture but different than the ones I usually show.

I've always loved Rat Face's face.

Have you and I talked together about our cats? I have ten . . .
I think your Adults are beautiful. And they seem happy with each other.

(2,817 posts)You had posted some pics of Rat Face on DU2 and you talked about one of your cats peeing on a counter or something.
Funny how cats that hate each other will sleep next to each other.

(20,582 posts)My Obie and Hobo:
[IMG][/IMG]
Impossible to get a good picture of Obie because camera apparently means belly rub.
And Hobo, mouse catcher extraordinaire ... except that he brings them to me and then meows for me to notice, they escape and run away and he gets to catch them all over again! I'm not sure if I've had five or six mice here or just one.
[IMG][/IMG]
Bertha Venation
(21,484 posts)"camera means belly rub" Obie is a cutie.
Hobo is gorgeous! Is he obese, or just big? No offense meant; one of our cats is obese and in order to put her on a diet we had to put everyone on a diet . . . hoo, boy, this is big fun.
polly7
(20,582 posts)He's not fat at all, jut really big and tall and long. He's my bottle-fed baby, my Dad found him alone in the hopper of his combine, no idea how he got in there ... I'm sure he couldn't have been more than a week old.
Bertha Venation
(21,484 posts)WOW. In a combine. That beats our Cocoa's genesis; someone we didn't know found her in the undercarriage of their pickup truck. Apparently she had taken a ride. They took her to the vet and left her, just as I arrived to pick up cat food. The rest is history.
Good for you for taking him in.

They remind me of my grandmother's dog, Susie. Happy memories. Thanks!

LoveMyCali
(2,015 posts)I love the way their paws are crossed. I hope some day my girls decide they are friends. They chase each other and play sometimes but for the most part Symone just looks at me like she's saying "ugh, that thing is still here?" when she sees the kitten.
Tuesday Afternoon
(56,912 posts)every once in a while he "plays" to rough with her which, is kind of weird because outside
she is the Queen Huntress that Rules The Forest!
Thanks for the kind comment about my furbabies.
Your Raven looks a lot like my Pretty Girl
LoveMyCali
(2,015 posts)I chose her fake sleeping picture because her eyes glow yellow in most of her awake pictures and she looks like demon kitty. She's really just a spoiled little love bug.
spiderpig
(10,419 posts)Bertha Venation
(21,484 posts)was she bred to look like this? I think I see some Corgi, but I don't know what else. She's cute!
spiderpig
(10,419 posts)They said she's a Corgi/Papillon mix. So she looks like a small Corgi with a long coat & fluffy ears. Estimated 2-4 yrs old. Mr. pig says he's never heard the word "adorable" as much in his life as he's heard in the month since we adopted her. LoveLoveLove!

(5,351 posts)so here's Summer, who I adopted just over 5 years ago. She's a Siamese mix and is super-chatty.

(4,441 posts)Never thought I'd get into having an insect as a pet but my mantis is pretty cool. Always crawls onto my hand when I reach into her cage, and she's happy to climb around on my arms. She's also cheap to feed - eats a cricket every other day or so.

Bertha Venation
(21,484 posts)I can't tell her size. Her coloring makes me think German Shepherd . . . ?
woodsprite
(11,916 posts)She's absolutely great with our family and loves her 'big-dog' playtime at daycare one day a week. She's very protective. If anyone comes around our house, they'll certainly know she doesn't welcome them. I'm sure there are some door-to-door Bible thumpers that will not be back to our house any time soon.
polly7
(20,582 posts)Speaking of Bible thumpers .... my dog Wolfie, who I had to have put to sleep about a year ago was raised by University kids who taught him a lot of tricks. He'd play dead if they pointed and said 'bang', hi-five, all the normal things, and he never forgot them. The baddest one was, when he barked at someone knocking at the door - they taught him that "FUCK OFF!" - loudly, was his cue to stop barking. He'd go on forever until he heard it. The last to move on from University couldn't keep him anymore and asked me to take him ... and of course, the only way I could stop his crazy barking was to do the same thing. Needless to say, it was a bit embarrassing and while a lot of people laughed, the Bible thumpers to this day still just leave pamphlets in my door after hearing me yell it at him twice. They don't even knock. I hope they think he's still alive, because my new Obie I'm sure would just lick them to death. He doesn't bark at all!
