I'm not 100% sure I'll see it in theaters since I don't go to movies that often, but it does seem like seeing it on the big screen is mandatory

I have always loved big monsters, like Godzilla...Gamera..Rodan etc.. watching them go up against Giant Robots.. what a concept! Its like an Anime come alive..and looks like there are some great scenes. Plus in the beginning it looks like San Francisco is the first place invaded.. My home town!!

I have been waiting since Spring to see this film..I may even go to the Theatre to see it!

They have me on a ton of medications, and doing some things.. like water restrictions..(How the hell I am supposed to keep my water intake down??) and I still have my running cough.. fluid in my lungs. Its hard to sleep at night with that so I am hanging in there. Things could be a lot worse. I have a new weighing scale that is adjusted to 200 pounds too many... that has to be fixed. Taking Blood pressure readings every day is a pain in the butt..

other than that.. okay.. more or less.. Thanks for asking

I thought it was just mine that weighed too heavy!

Well, I hope you fully recover quickly. Just do everything the medicos tell you to. There has been some nasty stuff going around the Bay Area lately. I ended up with severe bronchitis a couple weeks back and I know a couple people that got pneumonia.

The heart is enlarged, and its not pumping efficiently, so some of the blood backs up a little bit and liquid forms in the lungs. I mean you can tell when you are breathing, you can hear the wheezing a bit. I have taken cough medications but they do nothing. Its like throwing a sponge into a pond, it will take as much water as it can but.. its a hopeless task getting all the water.

Not completely sold on it.

I don't know how I feel about it yet. I will most likely watch it just because...

I feel like they should have kept with only one person controlling the suit, the idea of two people controlling one thing is hard for me.
I mean, I tend to go from extremes. Either 1 - technical that it becomes believable, 2 - not much explanation just go for the ride. I kinda think it tries to go in the middle of it, which doesn't always work.

I mean, I LOVED the old Bioman, Ultraman, Magmaman, Kamen Rider Black, Shaider!! and stuff like that, but those were pure fun.
If they keep at it for the fun, without trying to take itself seriously, then I'd probably really like this... Or if they went completely technical and created its own logic that doesn't deviate from their system, I'd enjoy it too.

However, that is hard to balance. I am curious enough to watch it, just dreading it at the same time.

I have seen some movies where the trailer was the best thing about the movie, and yet I have seen some movies where you went in expecting one thing, and ended up with something entirely different. Its been a long time since there has been a decent movie that balanced a good story with special effects.

I don't want to throw any judgements on this film until after I exit the theatre. I started out liking the new Star Trek Film going in but coming out, I felt like I wasted a ticket. Since that is still fairly new, I will not post any spoilers about that, but I was deeply disappointed with Star Trek, and the trailer looked great too. I still have not made up my mind about THE MAN OF STEEL. I might have to watch it again.

Love Summer blockbusters. I am looking forward to seeing Pacific Rim. Love big monsters, like Godzilla.. so this should be a treat.

There are some movies that I lower my expectations quite a bit so when I come out of it, I find myself enjoying it far more than I would have otherwise.

This is one of them. I don't know if I would like it or not, but if I lower my expectation just enough, I'd probably enjoy my time.

Coming up from Mexico is nearly impossible, as most storms head West and not North. The premise that tornadoes would scoop up sharks and throw them on land, not just once, but all through the movie is just super silly.
