8:26 pm here in Indy and I hear fireworks already.

They seem to start earlier every year.

Last night sounded like a war zone, including some that set off car alarms.

Tonight will be worse.

Won't need to go to any show, just sit on a hill and watch the city.

Big illegal things at least once every minute or two at this point, as I post this, 5:40 or so...

They can look pretty, if they're professionally done and it's a big shabang. But you have to stand outside in the heat w/the mosquitos, so that takes away from it.

They scare the animals and cause injuries and start fires. I never did get a bang out of 'em, even when I was a kid. Bah humbug.
