3 car garage, full of crap - I didn't even park In there last winter, too much stuff.
Sorting, pitching, and getting ready for an enormous garage sale. What doesn't go that way is going to Goodwill or the trash.
Getting rid of excess can be cathartic.

Good luck! I need to do our garage, but first I need to make sure all the spiders are dead.

(130,917 posts)I have similar kind of stuff to deal with, but mostly not crap; things in husband's apartment. He passed on in May, and left paperwork (which I've been TRYING to make sense of,) and clothing and furniture and kitchen stuff and books and ordinary household items, AND about 20 cases of Ensure, which I'd like to contribute to a charitable group. I do regularly check his mail, and pitch crap from there.
Can't WAIT for the catharsis, but I expect it won't occur for some months, after which time I may use some of his stuff (which had been ours before we separated,) and move from MY apartment (about 60 miles from his) to 'a room with a view.'

I have had reasonably large piles for the garbage pickup for the last 3 weeks. Making one for next week.
Some of this stuff amazes me - why did I keep it in the first place?
