Sadly, cat feline disease took his young life away.

Needless to say he brought much joy to our lives in his short life.

squeeee!

Has he always loved his duckie? Or is this a new passion?

How are things with the Sonias - Big and Little?

Ben had FIP (Feline infectious peritonitis). Ben was born in Oct. 2004 and we adopted him in Dec. 2004. Sonia joined us in March 2005. Panda joined us in Jan. 2006 after Ben had passed away on Thankgiving evening 2005. Roosevelt joined us a few months later.

Sonia was tested for FIP and tested positive. She was given medication and has had no recurrence or after effects. Based on what you told us, she is about ten now.

We have not seen Roosevelt since he ran away last fall.

Idget (little Sonia) is not so little now. She is identical to Sonia, except for the white spot on the belly.

I'd forgotten that, and sad that Roo is who-knows-where.

So you now have Panda, Sonia and Idget? Is Idget a take-off on "idiot"?

We felt that Ben needed a friend and Sonia was the one we picked. She looked like a smaller version of truffle (aka hellaflump) who was a 25lb maine coon.

Sonia is completely different than truffle. Other than demanding to be fed, she does not barf just to get fed of leave skid marks all over the place. She also does not have issues with fur-balls.

BTW, how well did Sonia travel when you came up to drop her off to us? We are moving west in the next few weeks and don't know how well she will do. My wife still has the scar from the scratch she got from Sonia when we first met.

Where are you moving? (PM me if you'd prefer...)

Sorry we never caught up when we were closer - we don't even see in-town friends, it seems.

Sonia was great in the car, actually. Husband drove, and she sat in my lap the entire 8 hours on the way up from NC.
