I assume I saw a shortened version as I saw it several years ago. I don't know if this is accurate or not but I remember reading a couple of years ago that some film historian had found the missing footage in an archive and, while more grainy than the rest, this footage was being inserted in new showings as the complete original film. Metropolis is visually stunning.

been. Also some of the film that was recovered from Argentina was damaged so the aperture was off.

every shot is a fine photograph because that's kind of what they did then figuring out how to plan a movie.

4. Watched it in College for an English Comp Class

It was a combined film appreciation & Comp course that I really enjoyed.

The also had a free movie night each week, that was great for a cheap date.

A few years later, I carried it to the NYC Comic Con where he was an attendee and asked him to autograph it and a few other of his books that I had.
