Great movie just sad that so much of it was lost or destroyed but glad they could put back what they could.

(21,925 posts)I assume I saw a shortened version as I saw it several years ago. I don't know if this is accurate or not but I remember reading a couple of years ago that some film historian had found the missing footage in an archive and, while more grainy than the rest, this footage was being inserted in new showings as the complete original film. Metropolis is visually stunning.

(2,670 posts)been. Also some of the film that was recovered from Argentina was damaged so the aperture was off.

The also had a free movie night each week, that was great for a cheap date.
