I'll confess. I think it's adorable. There's a lot of talk about objectification but fantasy is objectifying, and this is pure silly funny fantasy. And hot. And catchy. And I think it's an offshoot of Fifty Shades, the "Good Girl" that wants to be bad.
And if you want some real look up the unrated version and the gender swap version, which is damn near as good as the original and very funny/sexy.

I also think they are making fun of the genre.

(41,936 posts)I mean, no one is talking force, they're talking teasing about getting over inhibition. Those inhibitions are often wise and should remain in place but fantasizing about losing them is ubiquitous. And certainly fantasizing about being the one who could cause that is. It's a lot like Billy Joel's "Only the Good Die Young" for the current age.

(111,958 posts)Maybe some kittehs too. I did laugh a little about it at the end though.

(20,234 posts)This is a contender for stupidest lyric ever written by a 14 year old wannabe frat boy:
"One thing I ask of you
Let me be the one you back that ass to
Go, from Malibu, to Paris, boo
Yeah, I had a bitch, but she ain't bad as you
So hit me up when you passing through
I'll give you something big enough to tear your ass in two"

I just want to shove the idiot off a bridge.

(41,936 posts)Maybe I'm old but I find it kind of quaint, if you can call those risqué lyrics quaint. Reminds me of Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love, but sillier.
noamnety
(20,234 posts)Bitch, I'm gonna rip your ass in two just doesn't work for me as adorable, charming, quaint, or anything else with any redeeming qualities.
(I'm still making that face.)

(For full disclosure, the only pop I like is Juanes. I'm a punk rock girl)

I'm not a pop lover in general myself but good pop like good everything is fun, and this is the epitome of pop being pop.

(12,296 posts)... but I probably wouldn't want any tween children of mine (if I had them) to be singing/emulating it. It's definitely an 'adult fun' song.

(41,936 posts)Moms and Dads would so well to either forbid (yeah, right) or explain a whole lot about what they're saying and what is and isn't real or within their personal bounds.

(10,129 posts)Absolutely abhor the genre of music... the lyrics sound like something Zappa would have written to mercilessly satirize the genre, but I think these knuckleheads are somewhat in earnest with it... but I love pretty much anything that tweaks the nipples of the finger wagging crowd...
