(6,011 posts)I seem to run out of steam. But today, while the morning was cool, I made dessert for tonight... Chocolate ice cream!
And it's pretty easy to make, would be even easier if I had an electric mixer.
You just melt a 3.5 ounce bar of 70% cacao (or even darker) chocolate in a can of sweetened condensed milk, over low heat.
While that cools, whip a pint of whipping cream until fairly stiff peaks form.
Fold the coolish chocolate/condensed milk mixture gradually into the whipped cream then put into containers and put in the freezer for about six hours.
Made about 1 1/2 quarts.
You can mix other ingredients into the sweetened condensed milk instead if you want another flavor.
