Ramen is so awesome... I don't get it much, but when I do...
It is yum.

For an exceptional fictional movie about ramen, see "Tampopo' (subtitle warning).
Funny, interesting and even educational.

If you have to watch your sodium intake, those flavorings are death packets. I
throw mine away (or give them to folks who DON'T have to watch their sodium)
and add the sodium-free "chicken" broth crystals (no water) below (the quotes
are because it doesn't taste much like chicken, but tastes OK nonetheless). I
also add things like frozen green peas and cayenne and/or black peppers.

(30,947 posts)but my favorite lunch dish is the Nissin Hot and Spicy Ramen Bowl. I love hot and spicy foods and this really hits the spot. But be forewarned, it you should buy it, this is not for the timid.
