... MONUMENTAL highs and lows (I used to see him playing 300-seat auditoriums
after his enormous success with the Amboy Dukes faded and before he went to
the top again with his Gonzo period. BTW, I think he's an unbelievable live
performer as WELL as being an unbelievable asshole -- those audiences of 300?
They got shows with as much energy from him as his stadium performances.)

The man is WIDELY diversified now -- having archery equipment businesses, etc
as well as his musical career. I wonder if one of those declared bankruptcy to
protect his other assets.

And something tells me (Yes, Virginia... sometimes the world is an unbelievably
fucked-up place), he makes enough from personal speaking appearances to
dwarf some Hollywood stars' and Kuwaiti princes' assets.
