they have the Samoas at Dollar General. I usually buy a box of those about once a month since I live about three blocks away from the store. They also have the chocolate mint cookies.

Look for the name Caramel DeLites. They have chocolate, caramel and coconuts and run about $2.50 a box. They may be an imitation, but only a truly discerning palate would be able to tell the difference.

Did I just make your day?

Give them a try and let me know what you think. They might have a little less coconut or a different type of chocolate, but I think they'll do in a pinch between the Girl Scout cookie drives and they cost a bit less also. The only problem I've noticed is that Dollar General has some difficulty keeping them in stock (which is true for a lot of products there).

The chocolate mints are also very close to the Girl Scout version.

The packaging is very generic looking--the same size as the Girl Scout boxes, white cardboard with black letters and a picture on the front.

I've seen them in the grocery store, tried them once and they were really good. Those are my favorite Girl Scout cookies, too. Keebler also makes the chocolate covered peanut butter ones.

These are my favorites and also like the covered peanut butter ones and have found both of them in the grocery store. This is the perfect solution for those of us who don't know any Girl Scouts...
