(5,364 posts)My preferred answer would be something along the lines of: "That I play along with inane hidebound interview ettiquette and untruthfully answer questions that we both know are bullshit".
Could be worse though: The dreaded "Tell me about yourself" could be the opening question.

I even had one boss made me leave one time...yelled at me to go home when he saw me in my office at 10 after 5.
that's kind of a bull shit answer, but also true in a way.
it shows that you are going to work hard and that you are not watching the clock.

They looked at me like I had lost my mind. They they all cracked up. I got the job.

And I sometimes expect co-workers to be perfectionist like me.

It's worked for me so far. It doesn't net me supervisors that are avant-garde and edgy and willing to take creative risk...it's just that every interviewer/supervisor thinks: "That's not me...that's someone that makes boring work-output."
