My preferred answer would be something along the lines of: "That I play along with inane hidebound interview ettiquette and untruthfully answer questions that we both know are bullshit".

Could be worse though: The dreaded "Tell me about yourself" could be the opening question.

I even had one boss made me leave one time...yelled at me to go home when he saw me in my office at 10 after 5.

that's kind of a bull shit answer, but also true in a way.
it shows that you are going to work hard and that you are not watching the clock.

"If you were an animal, what animal would you be?"

I guess there is supposed to be a correct answer to that question, but I don't know what it is.

I was interviewing to be a supervisor and was asked how I planned to enforce discipline and keep my people in line. In my most sinister voice I answered "Fear!"

They looked at me like I had lost my mind. They they all cracked up. I got the job.

I tend to be a perfectionist. Sometimes hard to close a project and to transfer to the next stage.

And I sometimes expect co-workers to be perfectionist like me.

So glad I don't have to deal with this anymore. Good luck.

That was an actual interview question when I was 24. I didn't know what to say. I decided against working there.

I should have been snarky and said "women in human resources" or something like that (the woman was in HR). But, I was too young & naive at the time.

"unimaginative clients and creative principals."

It's worked for me so far. It doesn't net me supervisors that are avant-garde and edgy and willing to take creative risk...it's just that every interviewer/supervisor thinks: "That's not me...that's someone that makes boring work-output."
