Then I was told it is in Japan and they still cook it after they do that.
It broke a tiny piece of my heart...

There should be a word in English for something that becomes too creepy to eat.

I think God made sure I didn't become a cook because this kind of thing would turn me into a vegetarian.

torture, plain and simple.

Unless it is already dead and is just the muscles reacting to the stimulus.

Otherwise it looks like that critter is in loads a pain. Totally fucked up.

Be proud of your food tastes. Nothing wrong there. I'm just squeamish when it comes to these things.

Just, that I am pretty adventurous when it comes to food.

I tend to try everything 3 times.

1 - To try it out... If I like it, good, if not:
2 - Try again to see if it was a fluke, and it might be better... If still no, then
3 - Will only try again with a friend who swears by the food, and I may have been eating it wrong.

Case in point... Pupusas. First time I tried it, I didn't like it. Second time, I tried it again since people say it is really good, but still didn't like it. Third time, I had someone show me that you actually had to put stuff on it before eating.

Now I am fine with it.
Something I am not fine with... Snails. Maybe I'll try it again some time this year.
