Okay. Twilight was licking a lollipop. Sugar is bad for a cat right? Am I not giving her something?

1. A little sugar won't hurt her.

Cats normally don't care much for sweet foods because they don't have taste buds for sweet flavors, but it's not harmful.

2. Good. All I need is some sorta diabetic cat.

5. Cats are more likely to become diabetic if they are fed cheap dry food

made of corn gluten meal. Her food should be mostly meat protein; cats shouldn't be eating corn.

6. Yeah. I get the expensive stuff from the specialty pet store.

3. She's probably just satisfying her curiosity.

I don't think a few licks will hurt her. My current kitty doesn't eat anything really strange, but a cat we had when I was a kid loved tomatoes.

4. I had a boxer that would eat tomatoes right off the vine when I was a kid.

Us kids didn't like them and fed her enough under the table that she got to like them and found the source! It was really funny. My dad was confounded. What could be scarfing his prized tomatoes like that? He found several stumps, still on the plant. Then he caught her in the act! It was about two hours before a Trixie proof fence was up!

8. Cardboard.

The cat. She doesn't really "eat" it. She just bites it all up and piles up all the pieces she's bitten off.

What does she really eat that she's not supposed to? Anything in my cup or on my plate that she can get to before I move her away.

9. Twilight is all batting paws if I'm putting something up to my mouth that she wants. That is when

she is at her most kittenish. But don't show her fruit....she hates that and will bat it clear across the room.
