The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI need to find a coffee bar here in Joplin MO.
In Springfield MO, I had Big Mama's. In Tucson AZ, I had the Epic Cafe. But here in Joplin MO I don't have a coffee bar/ place.
Darn.

(2,682 posts)I was born there but my family left when I was 6 weeks old (1946). I was on a road trip in 2001 and had the opportunity to turn off and go to Joplin. I have never felt a connection to the place so I declined the opportunity.
If you lived in the Seattle area, you would find a coffee shop of some kind or another on literally every street corner. There are 2 Starbucks by me -- on inside the grocery store and once across the parking lot of the grocery store.
I hope you find the one shop you can make your go-to place not only for coffee but to meet new friends.

(14,120 posts)That is when I went to Springfield for a time. Then to Tucson. Now I am back here to get back on my feet so I can go back to Tucson. But that may take 3-5 years.
Most people here has a bar that they really like, but I am not really into going to a bar a lot. I want a plae o hang on my off time and work on my stories and have coffee.
But I just can't find nice place like I found in Springfield or Tucson.
