They're not to my taste... they taste like dirt to me.. yet some of my friends rave over them. And they're always disappointed when I taste some just to see... not that I don't like them, but that the truffle was wasted on such a gastronomic neanderthal.

and I'll take on anyone that doesn't agree, at least until my blood pressure starts to climb, then I may need a break.

And Carbonara, I had a spaghetti carbonara in Rome several years ago that still makes the hair on my arms stand up.

Screw your tomato based saucism!!!!

Pasta is not supposed to be like clam chowder, the sauce is supposed to flavor the pasta, not overwhelm and drown it!

Do you eat Ragu and use your fingers like a child?

Just kidding, it's all good. Ive actually found a brand of pasta I like. It's called Bionaturae, organic, whole wheat pasta. Had some with a sauce I played with for a couple of days. I wish I had the time to make up some more sauce.

I love pastas, fresh, dry, it's all good. But Bucatini with red sauce will fling the sauce at your chest and you will leave looking like you were in a knife fight and lost.

Nothing like wearing a white blouse when everyone says "Let's get Italian!".

but a big ol' plate of spaghetti and meatballs can't be beat.

Except for the fettucini bruzzi at Roma Ristorante in Apopka, FL which, sadly, is no more. They were there for 47 years and the owners just got tired so they retired. It's where I had my wedding rehearsal dinner 27+ years ago and many other dinners later and a few before then when we would visit my grandparents before I moved here. Fettucini Bruzzi is the only thing I ever had there. It was fettucini in a red meat sauce covered with cheese and baked until the cheese on top was brown and yummy.

But since I can't get that any more, Spaghetti and Meatballs is king.
