I don't know what people are thinking sometimes.

I'm taking some classes online this semester. For one class we had a term paper to write that wasn't overly difficult and we had half the semester to do it. It was due on the 5th and then the teacher gave us an extension to midnight on the 7th.

I went to the course site this morning to check for messages. Last night at 9:30 a student got on there and asked the rest of the students how long the paper had to be.

... but sometimes I write best when under an insane deadline.

If I have loads of time, I'll just think too much about other ways to phrase things, or maybe other topics to write about, or whether or not to make a PB&J and watch some tv.

Queen of procrastination. I would stay up all night writing papers and I think one time got a grade lower than a B.

I would laugh at people that would tell me there was no way I could get it done.

It was pure laziness, but I always came through.

I just don't understand putting it off like that. I am a very busy guy and I manage to get things done before the last minute.

I went to college fulltime and had to work fulltime, despite the GI Bill. I was able to take
two semesters off from work and I didn't do as well grades-wise because I knew I had
"plenty of time" to put things off.
.
Though I also write my best under threat of a deadline.

Maybe he was just wondering if he needed to pad it out a little more before turning it in.
